Subject: Annual Sports Day at Merry Gold School

Today a school without games and sports is unthinkable, as sports and games have become an integral element of present-day education. Our school’s Annual Sports Day was held on generally a month of preparation procedes the day. All the children were divided into four houses and respective sports groups such as senior junior and sub-junior. Different works such as the preparation of the welcome gate, pandal, flag post, tracks, decoration of the area, arrangement of the prizes, etc were allotted to the different houses for completion. The sports day commenced at 7.50 am the following day. The races, throws, jumps and the various items followed one by one.
At 3:00 pm the sports events in the field came to a conclusion with the last item of musical chair for the staff. After the completion, the prize distribution on ceremony was held participating in various games and sports to develop a feeling of sporting spirit. A marathon was held in which teachers and students participated with utmost zeal.
